The lingering aches in inner hip are gone. The bursitis pain still persists, though I only feel it if someone actually presses on that area. So I really feel tenderness when using the foam roller on the area. I've been very encouraged that started going round and round about whether or not I would run the half. And, well, I've finally decided to do it!
For now, I'm taking things a bit easy. This particular "taper" is very difficult because I'm getting antsy. I want to move and just run as far as I can. But I know that probably isn't a very good idea. I just need to take it easy. This way, I can just let go on race day.
Seeing as I've exchanged four weeks of running for cross training on the bike and walking, I'm letting go of the time goal. Sort of. Officially, I am planning to run/walk the half. But I am still keeping the idea of a PR alive in the back of my mind. If it doesn't happen, I will just happy to have finished. If it does, well, I'll be pretty darn happy!

We are going to be quite the pair on race day. Should we bring our walkers or our canes?
